How will early years setting staff support my child?

We develop close relationships with the children in our care and their parents so we can identify and provide support to both child and parent where needed.

This may be physically, emotionally, offering advice, a listening ear, getting help and support from other agencies (or helping parents to) and also liaising with professionals at therapies, meetings and reviews and providing reports where necessary.

We encourage children to develop and boost their self-confidence and self-esteem through our relationships with them, praising them for their achievements and help, valuing their opinions and interests and making them feel part of our family.

All our policies are shared with parents via our online portal and are regularly reviewed and updated where needed.  This includes our policies for:

  • Promoting Positive Behaviour
  • Positive Handling, Physical Intervention and Intimate Care
  • Confidentiality
  • Inclusion
  • Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.

In addition paper copies of our risk assessments are available for parents, carers and professionals to view.
