Arts and Crafts
Children in our care enjoy a wide range of arts and craft activities. Activities have included:
Making Finger Puppets
The children had great fun making and decorating their own finger puppets to take home.
All the children thoroughly enjoyed making 'bug' facemasks as one of the art activities we did with them. The theme for the bugs was based around a book that we were reading with them earlier in the week and other activities around understanding the world around them. Later in the week we visited a local nature reserve where the children enjoyed looking for real bugs in the woods.
Where possible we try and link the activities to a theme and 'go with the flow' in terms of what is interesting the children. Sometimes children have a particular interest which we develop with them.
Most of the children's creations go home with them after being photographed for their achievements book, some craft is displayed in our activity room before going home.
